OCTAVE ULTRASONIC METER

The Octave Ultrasonic water meter for C&I (Commercial and Industrial) applications presents comprehensive flow management accountability. The Octave complies with and in many ways exceeds the ANSI/AWWA C715 standard for both Type I and Type II ultrasonic meters. This highly advanced, all-digital technology achieves precise measurement without any moving parts to ensure optimum revenue without waning performance over time. Performing brilliantly at low flows, this unique meter solution can record even the smallest of leaks and is an ideal replacement for any mechanical compound and turbine meter. Our newest series is the Octave High Flow,  which delivers an extended measurement top range – perfect for custody transfer applications and constant very high flows.

The Octave is the industry leader in turn down ratio for any solid-state meter. The Octave 2″-4″ offer a minimum 1000:1 flow measurement ratio. By comparison, three other ultrasonic water meters on the market have a turndown ratio of 320:1 ratio on their 2″ ultrasonic meter. This placed Octave’s total flow measurement capabilities at almost 3x better than these other suppliers.

The Octave also carries an unprecedented 10-year full warranty on all electronics, batteries, and accuracy. The next best warranty for any commercial meter is 10 years for the battery but only 3 years for everything else. This is a 233% improvement over the competition.

A valuable feature many of our customers appreciate is the modularity of the encoder interface that provides easy connectivity and interoperability to our Allegro AMI and other meter reading systems. In the event of vandalism or accidental damage (for example, cutting the cable), the Octave’s encoder module can be removed/replaced without further effort to the meter itself.

All 1.5” – 8” Octave meters are provided with FM (Factory Mutual) and UL (Underwriter’s Laboratory) Approval. FM Approval is available for our large ultrasonic water meter sizes including 10” and 12” Octaves. This is valuable in the event a meter is needed at a facility where a fire-approved meter is needed.

The Octave is unique in that when paired with the Sonata Ultrasonic for Residential, Master Meter is the only manufacturer capable of providing ultrasonic measurement from 5/8” – 12” on a common development platform. The Octave Ultrasonic has won awards from water utility VIPs year-over-year during the annual Smart Water Summit conference as part of Master Meter’s ‘Best Smart Water Product or Solution.’

RG3 PERPETUAL® METER

RG3 Meter raised the bar with the most advanced Positive Displacement (PD) meter in the industry. The RG3 Perpetual® PD meter retains new meter accuracy longer than the battery life of an ultrasonic or mag meter and twice as long as a standard PD meter.

RG3 Meter provides three register options: Direct Read Register, Tesla 4 TR (AMR/AMI), and Tomahawk Encoder Register. Tesla 4 TR and Tomahawk Encoder registers can be ordered with any Perpetual® Meter to give any system full Drive-By (AMR) and/or Fixed Network (AMI) reading capabilities.

Uniform compression displaces the chamber 57% less than standard meter bodies. Chambers under uniform compression remain accurate longer. RG3’s Perpetual® uniform compression loading meter reduces stress on the chamber and lowers the amount of chamber deformation. Lower deformation reduces the amount of chamber wear. The RG3 Perpetual® Meter features a 360° retaining surface, 360° force transfer and an easy-to-install Retaining Ring.

RG3 ULTRASONIC METERS

RG3 partners with a global leader in flow and energy  management solutions to provide the latest in Commercial/Industrial ultrasonic metering technology for reliable flow measurement. The straight through flow cell design does not reduce the inner bore diameter, keeping pressure loss at a minimum and negating the need for a strainer as there are no moving parts to damage.

5/8" - 12" Ultrasonic meters come with encoder register options that integrate perfectly with RG3 AMR & AMI systems. The rugged 316 stainless steel bodies ensure long service life and easy installation (no cross threading). 3" - 12" are equipped with state-of-the-art multi-path technology using 4 pairs of ultrasonic transducers to interrogate the flow from different positions. The additional pairs of transducers increase accuracy and reduce the amount of straight pipe needed after pipe turns and valves.

Ultrasonic meters meet ISO 4064 water meter standards for Class D accuracy and exceed the AWWA C715 standard.
